Homebrew

The least friction on macOS. The app updates itself, so a plain brew upgrade leaves it alone; name the cask to upgrade it through Homebrew.

After you install

Kubermeister reads the kubeconfig you already have and changes nothing about it. Ifkubectl get pods works, the app works.

It updates itself

By default a new version downloads in the background and installs when you quit. You can set it to check only, or turn it off. A .deb install tells you a version is out and leaves installing it to you.

Nothing leaves your machine

No backend, no account, no telemetry. The app talks to your API server, to GitHub for updates and to any chart repository you add, and that is the whole list.
